![]() ![]() The command line generation (RHCL in Classic) is bugged and can't generate multiple modules in a row. There are new cool features such as out of the box expand/collapse button, mini-toc etc. Make sure to test them thoroughly! (We were using Webhelp which was ugly but faster.) The Frameless layout looks great, but performance is bad in large help systems (we have almost 40 projects). I know they added some if them back on the way, but I don't know which. It was full of bugs and many features from Classic were missing. RH 2019 new UI was terrrrrible at launch, so I tested it and gave up in frustration. Feel free to ask follow up questions though! ![]() I did a comparison of the two (Classic 2019 vs 2020), but I'm on mobile, so I'll give you a tl dr. Has anyone here made the switch from “Classic” RoboHelp to the newer releases that can provide some commentary on how the transition went and any pros/cons? It’s really tough to find commentary on the new 2019-2020 version that isn’t Adobe press or “partners” extolling the virtues of the new releases.this is made even more difficult by the fact that Adobe incrementally patched functionality into the 2019 release, so it’s tough to tell what is actually in the software today versus what shipped at release. We’re now evaluating making the switch to the new UI in the 2019 release, in anticipation of an eventual 2020 upgrade. Of course when 2020 was unveiled a few weeks ago, Adobe announced the “Classic” UI is getting canned and the new version will be the only option moving forward. ![]() Since the team has been using RoboHelp for a very long time, when we were upgraded to the 2019 release it was decided we should use the “Classic” UI until further notice. My team within the organization I work for uses Adobe RoboHelp for software documentation (primarily webhelp, some occasional PDF by request). ![]()
